1. We must know our POSITION (separated
from God).
• Romans 3:23
• “For all have sinned…”
• We all have fallen short of God’s perfection.
2. We must know that separation has a PENALTY (death).
• Romans 5:12
• Death passed upon all men. By our sin-nature death became our reward.
3. We must know God has a PLAN (not
our plan).
• Romans 6:23
• We are forgiven for sin through Jesus Christ. Yes, the payment for sin
is death, but eternal life is in Christ.
4. We must know that eternal life is PERSONAL (a
relationship).
• Romans 10:9,13
• Confess Christ and believe with your heart.
• Eternal life is available because of the risen Savior (Jesus Christ).
5. We must know His PROMISE (His
strength and truth).
• 1 John 5:12
• “He that has the Son has life: and he that has not the Son of God
has not life.”
